The beginning of something cool

Okay, this is new. I'm just starting this blog to tell about my life. Sometimes someone else may pop in to tell about their side of things. I mean, it's my blog, but I think it's only fair to hear all sides. Well, sometimes. David isn't allowed in here. He is a pest and a brat.

Anyway, I'm a teenaged girl. I love art, reading, animals, Orlando Bloom, Daniel Radcliffe, movies, music... but not typical contemporary music. Urgh. I like older music, and different kinds. Sometimes my friends think it's funny that I like old vinyl records better than hip-hop and MTV.

For about a year now, I've been modeling for Artist at Work, an online store through CafePress. The store owner, Lorilei, is also an artist, though she's older than I am. We have a lot of things in common. In fact, she said I remind her of her inner child. That's kind of a cool thing to be.

Anyway, at first I think I was a little bit of a brat (though not as bad as David), but I'm better now. I'm more comfortable just being me.
And I adopted a model name, though everyone else hates it. I think "Positively Lethal" has a certain attitude to it, but everyone just calls me "P.L."
I used to hate my name.
Okay, I'll tell you what P.L. really stands for. After all, I do love 60s music too.
No, maybe I shouldn't. I'd never live it down, especially when everyone started singing. Well, all right.
It stands for "Penny Laine."

Okay, you can stop laughing now. So my parents were hippies. I'll bet some of you are named after Mama Cass, Donovan, or Ringo.

It's way past time for me to be in bed, but at least it's summer. No school tomorrow.
